Sex:  Male

Age:  1 Year

Good with dogs: Yes

Good with cats:  Unknown

Good with kids: Yes- preferably older kids.

Weight:  100 lbs

Name/Nicknames:  Bear

Hobbies: I love to be with my Humans, and I try to sit in their lap to watch TV.

Tricks/Commands:  Come, Sit, Down, Shake

Crate Trained:  Yes

Potty Trained:  Yes

Activity Level:  Moderate, I am an active male adolescent rottweiler.

Fun things I do: I like to snuggle with my people and watch TV.  I love to go outside, do a lot of sniffing, and explore.  My human boy takes me down the trail, there are a lot of awesome smells down there! I also love to do food puzzles, and play with my Kong. My mom says I’m pretty smart.

Socialization/who I currently live with:  I currently live with my foster parents, 3 kids (17, 13 & 13) and 2 dogs.

Interesting things about me:  Did I mention I totally love my humans. I’m also a pretty big fan of my current Rottweiler sister. We play until mom makes us stop. I’m very food motivated. My mom is always really happy with me because I work really hard just for my normal dog food.  She thinks  she’s tricking me, but really I just like spending time with her.   I love to chew on bones, de-stuff toys, and play a good game of tug.

What am I looking for:  I’m really just looking for a home that can match my activity level and if they have kids, I’d like them to be older.  Toddler age kids make me nervous. I’d also be fine with or without another dog, but if there is another dog in the house, I really hope it loves to play, if not, my mom said I might be annoying, whatever that means.

Notes from my foster mom:  Bear is a pretty great house guest.  He’s kennel trained, potty trained, loves to work for his food.  He plays well with our younger Rottweiler, but even then, she sometimes needs a break and will kennel herself. Once she does that, he leaves her alone.  We have an old man dog, and Bear was able to leave him alone.  He is a very smart boy, and thrives with a schedule and structure.  He wasn’t in our house long before he started copying the dogs and ringing the bell to go outside. He picks up quick and is a copy cat dog in terms of learning new tricks.  He loves stuffed kongs or marrow bones, and enjoys a good food puzzle.  He is a 1 year old, male, Rottweiler, so he will need a family that has some patience with his attempts to push the boundaries and not allow him to play all the time. He’s also very sensitive and really loves his humans, and couldn’t be more happy than if you let him crawl up in your lap and watch TV.
